Beetle Ringo-legged robot
Robot-ID.Com, It's very fun when we take this vacation to make a legged robot project, do not have too complicated and many important costs can be entertaining and can be his knowledge.
Easy-to-make robot is a beetle-ringo beetle-type robot, utilizing 3 mini / micro servo movement as navigation, while for control using arduino uno and remote remote can be remote TV or other remote.
The materials to be prepared are as follows:
1 Unit Arduino Uno with USB cable can be sold here
3 Mini / Micro Servo Units Can Be Sold Here
1 9 Volt Battery Unit and its batter container on / off switch
IR + Remote (TSOP21xx, TSOP22xx, TSOP312xx where "xx" is 36, 38, or 40.) Can be here
Male jumper cable to man Can buy here
White wire 1.5-2 mm can be sold at the nearest building store or wear hanger clothing can also
Cable ties / Wire paper clip, etc. as per drawings.
Preparation of robot material
For the equipment used, among others:
Solder and lead
Gluegun or grilled glue
Cutting pliers
Tang pointed
Small grind,
Cutter,
Small files, etc.
Equipment used
The first step we must do is testing the infrared sensor circuit and the remote control on the serial monitor in the arduino program this becomes very important because we will try one by one the remote button is there, record each button that is on and note also the code or numbers that come out In the serial monitor this code will be included in the arduino program for each command movement of the robot.
IR and remote testing components
Installation of IR sensor testing components
Remote source source code can be downloaded here.
Do not forget to read the instructions below yes
This is the IRremote library for Arduino.
To download from github (http://github.com/shirriff/Arduino-IRremote), click on the "Downloads" link at the top right, click "Download as zip", and get the zip file. Unzip and rename the shirriff directory - Arduino - IRremote - nnn to IRremote
To install, move the downloaded IRremote directory to:
Arduino-1.x / libraries / IRremote
Where arduino-1.x is your Arduino installation directory
After installation you should have a file like:
Arduino-1.x / libraries / IRremote / IRremote.cpp
For details in the library see Wiki on github or blog post http://arcfn.com/2009/08/multi-protocol-infrared-remote-library.html

NOTE the code that comes out on the monitor screen
After all the code on the remote is identified then we will test the servo motor circuit, install the servo according to the picture after it is attached to the battery case, do not forget to pair also arduinonya.
Install the servo motor on battery case
Glue wire clips to middle of header on arduino
Previously the first test of its servo motor circuit
For testing the whole robot please download the code source Here
For testing the servo can be seen in the video below:
For the installation and manufacture of robot legs you can follow the pattern in the image below pdf please Download it.
-Left and right foot pattern
-The middle foot pattern
To bend the wire using pliers with precision sizes to bend have the same angle as the picture, this will affect the stability of the robot movement of the length and angle of the foot bend is not appropriate.
The making of the robot's foot should be precision according to the picture
Installation of the left and right legs on the robot
For the middle legs are made based on the image after that plug with a fuel glue to be strong, try the hook on the servo motor cross-shaped to be more powerful and easy in gluing.
Some robot designs can be made differently not necessarily the same as the image, this is where your creativity will be sued, like the robot that I created this is not the same as the example but the result is the same as the actual.
This is my spider robot video, the remote I use is a remote mp3 player, and I use a lippo turnigy 7.4 v, 1 ampere battery. I made it with a variety of black wool yarn to make it look more like a spider.
